I made the commitment this year to read 24 books to improve myself professionally and personally. I thought it would be great to share a few of my recent and current reads with you that I have really been enjoying.
I couldn’t be more thrilled – I have been asking around for book recommendations, and here are a few awesome books that I have been reading, thanks to others’ suggestions.
Fred Factor – Mark Sanborn – Practical and fast read about being amazing is anything you do!
Go Put Your Strengths to Work – Marcus Buckingham – I love this approach: focus on what you do best, and spend less time on what you are not good at!
StrengthsFinder 2.0 – Tom Rath – This book includes an assessment to identify your top 5 strengths, and great ideas for making the most of them.
The Advantage – Patrick Lencioni – Organizational Health, and why this matters.
Survival is Not Enough – Seth Godin – We must always be evolving.
Made to Stick – Chip & Dan Heath – How to make your ideas last.
Setting the Table – Danny Meyer – why hospitality matters in any job.
I would love to hear what you are reading now, please share with me in the comments below!
They all look great! We should start a library 🙂 Are you buying all of these or getting from the library yourself?
I’m actually buying and treating them as an investment, especially since I underline, highlight, and make all kinds of notes in all of my books.
Do you prefer to buy, or use from the library, borrow, etc?
Jonathan, have you read Platform, by Michael Hyatt or Crush It, by Gary Vaynerchuk?
Platform by Michael Hyatt is outstanding, and I consider him a mentor. I have heard of Crush it, and I’m adding it to my list now. Thank you for the recommendation!
You’re welcome, Jonathan! Crush It is one of my top five all time favorite books. It is really good. I would also recommend the audio version. Have you ever used Audible?
Awesome. Always looking for a list of new books to try. Since I got my kindle a while back its so easy just to download and read!! Thanks for the compilation.
You are welcome Ashley, thank you for stopping by! From this list, “Made to Stick” has been the most interesting!
