Casual Friday – Aerobie Aeropress Coffeemaker
Welcome to Casual Friday! This is a space that I will set aside each Friday to share with you something I think is fun, interesting, cool, crazy, or just completely random.
This week, I really can’t stop talking about my Aerobie Aeropress coffeemaker.
I have a really hard time trying to overstate how amazing the coffee is from this particular coffeemaker.
Maybe you have read some reviews about the quality of coffee this little amazing wonder can produce, and I assure you they are all accurate.
It’s really simple to use, it travels well, requires no electricity, and the filters are reusable!
This also would make an awesome gift, and for less than $30, it’s really worth checking out.
You can get it from Amazon here:
Great first episode, Jon. Had a friend show me one of those a couple years ago. I am not a coffee drinker, but he was just as excited as you are about it! Enjoy!
Can you tell I am excited? It could just be the extra caffeine!
hahah….Great! Anything that has to do w/ coffee, I’m on it!! Now, one question. The concept reminds me of a French press, which I adore.
What is the difference? Any thing? Although the FPress doesn’t keep the coffee hot, it’s very tasty. I’m sure there may be something more sophisticated than my under-the-counter MR. Coffee. 🙂
Thanks for the demonstration. You’re quite good at it.
I can’t resist..since you cook….here is another “demonstration” from an acquaintance of mine. He’s really this funny in person, too, and I don’t remember laughing so much at his stories….. in my whole life w/ my friends. We so enjoyed meeting Mr. Phluffy from Louisiana at King Biscuit in Helena, Ark. It’s a once-a-year outdoor blues festival, biggest in the world.
He has NO props, no food. Just goes to show…any demonstration, if your heart is in it, works. 🙂 You both have passion!!
Karen, as far as the differences for the French Press v. Aeropress, on the technical side: the oils remain in the coffee with the french press, while they are filtered out by the aeropress.
On the practical side of things, the aeropress leaves no grounds in the coffee at all, whereas I have noticed my french press often does allow some ground through.
They are both pretty close in the final product as far as my level of expertise is concerned.
Thanks for sharing as well!
